THE Cornwall Grand Prix Road Race Series returns to Redruth next week, when Cornwall Athletic Club host their tenth Summer Turkey Trot.

This year's race, once again sponsored by Trickys Redruth, will also be supported by Brooks, the specialist athletic clothing and shoe company.

The race takes place on Wednesday July 14 and follows ed hardy shirts exactly the same fourmile route as the club's popular Christmas Turkey Trot, starting and finishing near Trickys.

There is a hill at one mile, but the route is generally flat and suitable for runners of all abilities, including first timers. A large field of some 400 runners is expected, with many taking advantage of adding to their tally of Grand Prix races for 2010 by competing in the shortest race of the series.

The main race, over four miles, starts at 7.30pm with registration from 5.30pm. Entries will also be taken on the night, entry fee will be Pounds 8 for club runners and Pounds 10 for unattached runners.

Runners and supporters are advised to arrive early, as a field of more than 400 runners is expected and there will be pressure on parking.

To help relieve the parking congestion, overflow parking will be available in the coach parking areas outside of Redruth School, which is located on the opposite side of the A3047 dual carriageway from the turn to Trickys. It is a five minute walk from there to Trickys.
